ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံကုိ ၁၁ ရက္ၾကာ လာေရာက္ခဲ့တဲ့ ကုလသမဂၢရဲ႕ ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံဆုိင္ရာ အထူးကိုယ္စားလွယ္ မစၥတာ ေသာမတ္စ္ အုိေဟ ကင္တားနားကေတာ့ မေန႔က ေလဆိပ္မွာ သတင္းစာရွင္းလင္းပြဲ လုပ္ကာ ျပန္သြားပါၿပီ။

သတင္းစာရွင္းလင္းပြဲမွာ ပဋိပကၡျဖစ္ပြားခဲ့တဲ့ မိတၳီလာ အ၀င္မွာ ရင္ဆုိင္ခဲ့ရတဲ့ ဆႏၵျပမႈအတြင္း သူ ႀကံဳေတြ႔ရတာကို ေထာက္ျပၿပီး ျမန္မာ အစုိးရပိုင္းက သူ႔လုိ ကုလသံတမန္တဦးအေပၚအကာအကြယ္ ေပးဖုိ႔ ပ်က္ကြက္ခဲ့တယ္ ဆုိတ့ဲသေဘာ သူ ေျပာသြားပါတယ္။

ခရီးစဥ္အတြင္း ၾသဂုတ္လ ၁၉ ရက္ေန႔ ညက မိတၳီလာၿမိဳ႕ အ၀င္မွာ သူတုိ႔ ယာဥ္တန္းကို လူ ၂၀၀ ေလာက္ လူအုပ္ႀကီး က ၀ုိင္းထားၿပီး ကားေတြကို ကန္ေၾကာက္ၿပီး ၾကမ္းတမ္းတဲ့ စကားလံံုးေတြနဲ႔လည္း ေအာ္ၾကေတာ့ သူ႔အေနနဲ႔ ေၾကာက္ စိတ္ ေတာင္ ၀င္ခဲ့ရပါတယ္တဲ့။ အနီးအနားမွာ ရဲေတြက ရွိေပမယ့္ ဘာမွ ကာကြယ္ဟန္႔တားတာလည္း မရွိဘူး လုိ႔ သူက ေျပာသြားပါေသးတယ္။

ဒီလို ႀကံဳေတြလုိက္ရတာေၾကာင့္ နဂိုက သြားဖုိ႔ စီစဥ္ထားတဲ့ မိတၳီလာၿမိဳမွာ ရွိတဲ့ လူ ၁၆၀၀ ေလာက္ရွိတဲ့ မြတ္စလင္ ဒုကၡ သည္ စခန္းကို မသြားျဖစ္ခဲ့ေတာ့ပါဘူးတဲ့။

အနားမွာရိွတ့ဲရဲေတြရဲ႕ အကာအကြယ္ေပးမႈမရလုိ႔ ေၾကာက္စိတ္ဝင္လာတယ္၊ ၿပီးခ့ဲတ့ဲ မတ္လ အၾကမ္းဖက္မႈမွာ ရဲေတြ ရိွေနပါလ်က္နဲ႔ လူအုပ္ႀကီးေတြက အရပ္သားေတြေနာက္လုိက္ၿပီး ရုိက္ႏွက္ မီးရႈိ႕လုိ႔ ၄၃ ေယာက္ေလာက္ ေသဆုံးသြားရတ့ဲ ျဖစ္ရပ္မွာ ေဒသခံေတြလည္း က်ေနာ္ခံစားရသလုိမ်ဳိး ခံစားၾကရပါလိမ့္မယ္လုိ႔ ဆုိပါတယ္။
အၾကမ္းဖက္တ့ဲလူအုပ္ကုိထိန္းခ်ဳပ္ဖုိ႔၊ ရပ္ကြက္ထဲ အဓိကရုဏ္းေတြ မျဖစ္ဖုိ႔ ခ်က္ခ်င္း အေရးယူေဆာင္ရြက္ေရးဟာ အစုိးရရဲ႕တာဝန္ျဖစ္တယ္၊ ဘယ္ဘာသာ ဘယ္လူမ်ဳိးကုိပဲျဖစ္ျဖစ္ ျပည္သူအားလုံးကုိ အကာအကြယ္ေပးရမယ္ စသျဖင့္ မိတၳီလာမွာေပၚေပါက္ခ့ဲတ့ဲ အၾကမ္းဖက္မႈကာလအတြင္း သူတုိ႔ လုပ္ခ့ဲပုံ မရတာေတြကုိ က်ေနာ္ ေထာက္ျပရမွာပဲလုိ႔ သူက ဆုိပါတယ္။

On my way to the township administrative office in Meiktila, at around 10.30pm on 19 August, my car was descended upon by a crowd of around 200 people who proceeded to punch and kick the windows and doors of the car while shouting abuse.

Due to these serious security concerns, I had to abandon my proposed visit to an IDP camp containing around 1,600 Muslims who had been displaced following the March violence; a visit which had been planned well in advance.

The fear that I felt during this incident, being left totally unprotected by the nearby police, gave me an insight into the fear residents would have felt when being chased down by violent mobs during the violence last March as police allegedly stood by as angry mobs beat, stabbed and burned to death some 43 people.

I must highlight the obligation of the Government to act immediately to control violent mobs, running riot in communities, and protect all people regardless of their religion or ethnicity; something it seems they have not done during the violence in Meiktila.

The Government also has an obligation to hold to account those who have failed to carry out this duty.

ေလဆိပ္သတင္းစာရွင္းလင္းပြဲမွာ ဒီကိစၥကို သူက အဓိကထားေျပာသြားၿပီး သူကိုယ္တုိင္ ေတာ္ေတာ္ ေၾကာက္စိတ္၀င္ခဲ့ တာကို အေလးထားေျပာသြားတာ ဆုိေတာ့ ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံရဲ႕ သံတမန္ ဆက္ဆံေရး အားနည္းခ်က္ဟာ ထင္ရွားၿပီး လာမယ့္ ေအာက္တုိဘာ အစီရင္ခံစာနဲ႔ အၿပီးသတ္ အစီရင္ခံစာေတြအတြက္ အေျခအေနသိပ္ဟန္ေတာ့မယ့္ ပံုမေပၚပါဘူး။

မိတၱီလာမွာ ကင္တားနားကို ကန္႔ကြက္ဆႏၵျပသူတခ်ိဳ႕ကေတာ့ သူ႔ကို အိတ္ဖြင့္ေပးစာ ေပး႐ံုသာျဖစ္တယ္ လို႔ ေျပာၾကပါတယ္။
